Epoxy.com Product #215

Hi-Build Epoxy Polyamine Coating

Product #215 has been replaced by Epoxy.com Product #215LVOC  This technical Data sheet is for Reference Only.

DESCRIPTION

Product #215 is a high solids, epoxy-polyamide combination, chemical curing, quick- drying resin system. Product #215 produces a ceramic like coating on masonry, concrete plaster, cement, asbestos board, wood, fiberglass, metal and most other rigid materials. Formulated for applications that require superior adhesion and durability, chemical resistance, corrosive protection, quick cure and easy cleaning.

Product #215 can be used as a primer where corrosion resistance or fast cure is required. Product #215 can be used as a sealer for porous surfaces such as troweled, poured, or precast concrete. Drying time is consistent, however, chemical curing is dependent upon temperature and ventilation.

ADVANTAGES

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

SURFACE PREPARATION

Before applying Product #215 surface must be clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease, curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or acid etching. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free air blast immediately prior to application.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Temperature of Product #215 must be 50? F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix equal volumes of Part A and Part B for three minutes with a low speed drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle.

APPLICATION

To apply Product #215 use a brush, roller, or spraying (conventional) equipment. Induction time is one hour at 65-95° F, two hours at 55-65° F or when humidity is 60-85%. Second coat can be applied three hours after initial application.

LIMITATIONS

Temperature of substrate must be above 50° F. DO NOT apply over wet surface

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye or skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber or polyethylene gloves.

CLEANING

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use toluene, MEK or any lacquer solvent.
