DESCRIPTION:

Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 Urethane Coating is a two (2) component, high-solids, urethane coating. Urethane Coating is a two (2) component, high-solids, urethane coating. Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 is a superior coating that provides the ultimate in weather resistance. Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 offers outstanding abrasion resistance, excellent chemical resistance and color retention in severe conditions.

Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 offers the utmost in a light stable, weather-resistant coating. Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 is an excellent coating for concrete, wood and primed steel. Brush, roller or spray can apply Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401. Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 is a convenient 2:1 ratio, by volume, with a pot life of six (6) hours plus.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Steel Surfaces

Steel Surfaces: Steel surfaces should be dry grit or sandblasted to a commercial gray metal finish as specified by the Steel Structures Painting Council SP-6. All work blasted shall be coated the same day with Epoxy.com Product #216. For immersion service, blast to near white blast SSPC SP-10.

Concrete Surfaces: Concrete surfaces shall be cleaned to remove dirt, curing compounds, existing coatings or laitance to provide a clean, sound bonding surface. Cleaning may be accomplished with, sandblasting, or other methods that would achieve a similar result.

MIXING:

Stir Component "A" thoroughly before mixing. Combine 2 parts by volume of "A" with 1 part by volume

of "B" (mixing ratio 2:1). Mix for, not less than 3 minutes with a wooden paddle to prevent entrapment of air.

 

APPLICATION:

Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 can be applied by brush, roller or spray. When spraying, organic vapor respirators must be worn to prevent inhalation of Component "B" (polyisocyanate), ventilation is a must when used in a confined area.

COVERAGE:

Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 will cover approximately 300 sq. ft./gal./coat depending on surface texture. For best results use two (2) coats.

PACKAGING:

Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 is packaged in three (3) gallon and fifteen (15) gallon units.

CAUTION:

Component "B": Contains polyisocyanates. Avoid inhalation of vapors. Epoxy.com PRODUCT #401 can be irritating to eyes, skin and upper respiratory tract with possible sensitizations. Wear protective clothing, rubber gloves and safety glasses.

When spraying, respiratory protection and good ventilation are required.

FIRST AID:

In case of contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Flush eyes with copious amounts of water.
